Taking a dog on a grey hound?

So I have to travel from Savannah Ga to Portland oregon soon, and i dont have time to find anyone who will watch him, and cannot afford a kennel. Has any one ever just said their dog was a service animal so they can get their dog on? I havent been able to find any other bus line that travels cross country, and i cannot afford to fly or take the train so last minute. So what should i do? explain my situation to the grey hound people and hope they understand? or lie and say its he is a service animal?

Where to visit in the US?

I just graduated High School and before I go to my state university, i wanted to travel the US. i have 3,000 saved up, but plan on rationing that for gas and occasionally food. My friend is also coming with me and we want to just drift through the states. We are both very smart and know how to protect ourselves, so don;t let that be a concern. We don;t mind staying in tents or sleeping in my truck either. If you have ever seen Into the Wild, our drifting will be similar to that. We live in Portland, OR and would love to just go anywhere. I;d like to hear about places to see that perhaps aren;t quite as touristy and typical visiting areas (LA, las vegas, ect) thanks!!

What is the best air travel route from Portland, OR to Hershey, PA?

Hello,I;m planning a trip from Portland, Oregon to Hershey, Pennsylvania. Hershey is our starting point, so I;d like to fly into somewhere nearby and then get a rental car. Later we;ll be driving to Pittsburgh, visiting some places along the way and finally end up in Niagara Falls. Would Philly be the best airport to fly into? I also noticed Baltimore isn;t too far away either. Thanks for any good tips!

Which is a better travekl destination for a couple in their early 30s? Portland or Seattle?

Looking to travel to Seattle or Portland and we only have enough money to travel to one city. Which one do you think would be best? We are looking for good eats (not necessarily fancy), good shopping (stuff you can;t get anywhere else), we like sight seeing "touristy" stuff, and we want to stay in a central area with access to public transportation. Any suggestions/recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!!

Favorite places on west coast to travel to?

I;m traveling from the Twin Cities(Minnesota) to the West Coast. I plan on eventually spanning the majority of the coast. I currently am thinking about going from Vancouver down to Seattle and Portland (or start at seattle and go down to portland…) and eventually all teh way down to San Diego hopefully all in a two (possibly three) week span or so (is that realistic?) What places would you suggest I stop by? Also, in terms of pure price, what city on the west coast has the cheapest flights (from Twin Cities)?
